Pre-conference Workshops
The pre-conference workshops explore timely topics and novel approaches with the spirit of collective exploration of research possibilities in EMCA. Consequently, these workshops are suitable for beginners to established scholars, with or without experience in these domains.
Three pre-conference workshops take place the day before the conference. Workshops run in parallel, so you will only be able to attend one workshop.

Post-conference Retreat
Join us for a post-conference writing and research safari retreat.
Wits Rural Facility is in the heart of the South African bush next to Kruger National Park.
Collaborate, run data sessions and write in this tranquil environment. This is an opportunity to turn your presentations into publications while experiencing the African bush and its incredible wildlife.
The package deal (transport, accommodation, food, writing and data session facilities, food and a visit to Kruger) is not included in the registration fee but is available to purchase during the registration process. Spaces are limited.

The conference is taking place on the Wits Main Campus in Braamfontein in two buildings that are adjacent to each other.

Activities: The plenaries, panels and presentations will be held in the ground floor auditoriums.
